State of South Carolina is seeking a Therapeutic Assistant at the Office of Mental Health in Columbia, SC. The position provides specialized therapeutic recreation activities to a culturally diverse resident population, under licensed supervision, focusing on dignity and quality of life.

Responsibilities include 1:1 and hall monitoring, assisting with activities and feeding, and maintaining a safe therapeutic environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
• Strong observation and documentation skills for activity attendance and resident well-being are expected.

Responsabilidades

• Provide meaningful observations and individualized documentation of activity participation and resident well-being.
• Maintain a therapeutic environment using de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention when needed.
• Adhere to HIPAA, Corporate Compliance, and Harassment-Free Workplace policies.
