Job summary

Colonial Group in West Columbia, SC seeks a Program Assistant to help plan and facilitate therapeutic recreational programs for members, assist with activities of daily living, and help maintain a clean, uplifting environment.

You will work closely with a caring team to monitor member well-being, serve meals, support mobility and personal care as needed, and ensure safety and respectful interactions with members and families.

Qualifications

• Engaging interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Able to work a flexible schedule.
• Able to bend, lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist members with activities of daily living and personal care as needed.
• Assist in planning and facilitation of therapeutic recreational programs and encourage participation.
• Serve meals and snacks and clear tables; assist with feeding as needed.
• Observe members for changes in condition and escalate concerns as appropriate.
• Maintain program areas, supplies, and equipment; keep them clean and in good working order.
• Ensure member safety by monitoring activities and maintaining a sanitary, clutter-free environment.
• Communicate professionally with members, families, co-workers, referral agencies, and the community.
• Participate in staff meetings and collaborate with cross-functional team to enhance member experience.
• Comply with company policies, safety and regulatory standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
