The Blossoms in Judsonia, Arkansas, seeks an Activities Assistant to plan and implement engaging recreation programs that improve residents’ well-being and enjoyment. You will lead diverse activities, collaborate with staff, and tailor plans to residents’ needs in a supportive, inclusive setting.

Certification as a Recreation Therapist and CNA are required, with a focus on compassionate service, safety, and resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Certified Recreation Therapist certification required.
• CNA certification required.
• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking English.
• Ability to make independent decisions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patient, cheerful, and adaptable with residents.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee a variety of recreational programs to improve residents' well-being and enjoyment.
• Develop activities such as games, arts and crafts, music, exercise, outings, and events tailored to residents' needs.
• Collaborate with staff to create an engaging, inclusive environment for residents to participate in recreational programs.
• Assess resident interests and design individualized recreational plans.
• Manage equipment and supplies and maintain records of participation and outcomes.
• Stay current with best practices in therapeutic recreation to improve offerings.
• Coordinate with community organizations to expand opportunities for residents.
• Provide guidance to recreation staff and volunteers to foster a positive work environment.
