Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in the human service field; 2 years of experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Must be able to direct services with cultural awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provides shift planning, coaching and decision making support for staff on duty, consistent with CARE principles
• Assist in interviews, selects, supervise and complete performance evaluations for Youth Care Workers assigned to the cottage
• Complete Medicaid documentation as required by the agency and oversight to all staff in their completion of Medicaid paperwork
• Role model/Coach a strong work ethic with a focus on providing quality care for children
• Build trust and maintain ongoing communication among staff and the residential team
• Identify staff development needs and recommend on-going training for cottage staff
• Participates in treatment planning and coordinates implementation of treatment plans for residents
• Reviews incidents involving restraints or timeouts; develop strategies to reduce such episodes
• Ensures required records and reports are completed
• Assists in the development of the cottage budget; monitors expenses
• Oversees Medicaid compliance by assigned staff
• This Position requires on call status whenever applicable
• Assumes other related tasks as required
