Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring a Therapeutic In-Home Coach for Greenville, NC and surrounding areas to support individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges through the START program. The role focuses on delivering community-based interventions, family education, and crisis prevention.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a human services field and 2 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work or related human services field required.
• Two years’ experience with the served population preferred.
• Ability to work in home and community settings with crisis interventions.

Responsibilities

• Coaches work within the home or other community settings to create and implement person specific and crisis therapeutic interventions and communicate these interventions with primary caregivers.
• Coaches contribute to the overall crisis stabilization and prevention of the individual and family by providing hands-on assistance and education to families.
• Offer consultation and hands-on education with entire family to create a safe, nurturing environment for families and individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Assists individuals with daily activities, behavioral health needs, and health, wellness, and leisure activities.
• Monitors individuals for mental health or behavioral symptoms and provides crisis prevention, intervention and de-escalation support in accordance with crisis guidelines and person's plan.
• Maintains timely documentation of session and visits notes and other data.
• Must be self-motivated, efficient with time.
• Coaches work with families and individuals to work on identified needs/skills to assist with strategies to improve coping mechanisms.
• Coaches help to develop strategies and tools to assist others with improving overall well-being.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Social Work or other Human Service related field
