Job summary

MediLodge of Ludington is seeking a Dietary Cook to prepare and serve meals for residents and staff, following food safety and sanitation standards. You will work with therapeutic diets, adjust menus as directed, and ensure meals are flavorful, visually appealing, and served at the correct temperatures.

The role requires at least a high school diploma or equivalent, ServSafe or state certification preferred, and six months of large-quantity cooking experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months experience in large-quantity cooking.
• ServSafe or state certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews menus prior to preparation of food.
• Prepares food for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu and special events.
• Prepares alternative items to meet individual needs and preferences.
• Uses proper food handling techniques and follows established safety policies.
• Ensures meals are served at the correct temperatures and visually appealing.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
