Job summary

MediLodge of Ludington in Ludington, MI is seeking a part-time Dietary Cook for the 2nd shift (afternoons). This role blends culinary skills with patient-centred care, preparing meals that meet dietary needs of elderly residents and ensuring proper food handling.

The position requires attention to detail; six months in large quantity food prep is preferred, with ServSafe or equivalent certification preferred, and a minimum of tenth grade education.

Qualifications

• Six months’ experience in large quantity food preparation.
• Therapeutic diet preparation experience preferred.
• ServSafe Food Safety Certification preferred.
• Minimum of tenth grade or above; GED or HS Diploma preferred.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and basic nutrition.

Responsibilities

• Reviews menus prior to preparation.
• Prepares food for regular and therapeutic diets.
• Ensures food is served at the appropriate temperature.
• Utilizes standardized recipes.
• Maintains sanitary standards.
