Job summary

fhcexternal is seeking a Cook to prepare meals in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and facility policies. You will assist in patient, family, and staff meal service and help deliver orders as needed.

The role requires following recipes, inspecting temperatures, and maintaining sanitary conditions. Preference given to applicants with quantity cooking or therapeutic diet training, and healthcare dietary experience. Strong English skills required.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak English.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year healthcare dietary food service experience preferred.
• 2 years food & beverage operation experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals following standardized recipes and portion controls.
• Assist in delivery of meals and taking orders as needed.
• Monitor food temperatures to meet safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, and food safety regulations.
• Assist in storage, supply notification, and equipment maintenance.
• Attend department meetings and participate in trainings.
