Job summary

Fundamental is seeking an experienced Cook to prepare fresh, nutritious meals for patients and residents in a healthcare setting. You will leverage culinary training to follow planned menus and standardized recipes, delivering meals on time with attention to portion control and safety.

Responsibilities include monitoring temperatures, maintaining supplies, and coordinating with the diet and nutrition team. Must have a high school diploma, at least one year in dietary care, and a food handler’s

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of dietary experience in a hospital or care facility required.
• Food handler’s permit required.
• Must be able to speak, understand, and write fluently in English.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for regular and therapeutic diets according to planned menus and standardized recipes.
• Ensure food is prepared in proper quantities and on schedule.
• Use correct portion control utensils to ensure proper quantities.
• Monitor and record food temperatures per policy during preparation and service.
• Ensure adequate supplies and report stock levels to supervisor promptly.
