Job summary

Fundamental is seeking an experienced Cook to prepare fresh meals for patients and residents in a hospital/healthcare setting. You will use your culinary skills to create nutritious dishes, following planned menus and standardized recipes, while ensuring timely service.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, at least 1 year of dietary experience in a medical facility, fluency in English, and a Food handler’s permit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or other medical facility.
• Food handler’s permit required.
• Must be able to speak, understand, and write fluently in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for regular and therapeutic diets using standardized recipes.
• Ensure correct quantities and adhere to established time schedules.
• Use proper portion control utensils to ensure accurate serving sizes.
• Monitor food temperatures and record them per policy.
• Maintain adequate stock and report low supplies to supervisor.
