The Therapeutic Assistant II at Medical University of South Carolina supports the Nurse Manager by delivering patient care within a multidisciplinary treatment program, while orienting new team members and leading group activities with proper documentation in the EMR. You obtain and record vital signs, track meal percentages, and assist with unit improvement initiatives.

Attendance at 75% of staff meetings is required to participate in unit operations.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 2 weeks of hire.
• Current AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS required.
• De-escalation training certification within orientation and annually thereafter.

Responsabilités

• Provide patient care as directed by a multi-disciplinary treatment program.
• Orient new care team members to the unit.
• Conduct group activities and document programming.
