Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is seeking an Aquatic Therapist to provide therapeutic aquatic instruction for patients with diverse needs in a hospital or rehab setting. You will work with physical therapists and other professionals to tailor exercise programs that improve mobility, strength, and overall well‑being.

You will design and monitor sessions, educate patients and caregivers, and ensure safety and infection-control standards in the pool area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in aquatic therapy considered in lieu of degree accepted.
• Lifeguarding certification required; swim instructor certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Design and implement individualized aquatic therapy sessions.
• Monitor patients for safety and proper technique during sessions.
• Collaborate with therapists to adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Maintain pool area cleanliness, safety, and temperature control.
• Educate patients and caregivers on aquatic exercise techniques and post-therapy care.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and infection-control procedures.
• Assist in development of group aquatic therapy classes as needed.
