Job summary

Responsibilities include designing sessions, monitoring safety, maintaining pool area, educating patients and caregivers, and recording progress, with a focus on improving mobility, strength, and well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience providing therapeutic aquatic instruction or related health and fitness services.
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic swimming techniques and principles.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to assess and adapt swim therapy programs based on individual patient needs.
• Proficient in water safety and emergency response procedures.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to track and document patient progress effectively.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement individualized aquatic therapy sessions based on patient assessments and therapeutic goals.
• Monitor patients during swim sessions to ensure safety, proper technique, and effective rehabilitation exercises.
• Collaborate with therapists and healthcare providers to adjust treatment plans based on patient progress.
• Maintain and ensure the cleanliness, safety, and appropriate temperature of the pool area.
• Educate patients and caregivers on proper aquatic exercise techniques and post-therapy care.
• Maintain accurate records of patient attendance, progress, and session outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and infection-control procedures in aquatic environments.
• Assist in the development and implementation of group aquatic therapy classes as needed.
