Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Lifeguard certification (American Red Cross) required.
• Certified Basic Swim Instructor (National Certification) required.
• 2–3 years of therapeutic aquatic instruction or related health/fitness services.
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic swimming techniques and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement individualized aquatic therapy sessions based on assessments.
• Monitor patients during swim sessions for safety and proper technique.
• Collaborate with therapists to adjust treatment plans.
• Maintain pool area cleanliness, safety, and temperature.
• Educate patients and caregivers on aquatic exercises and post-therapy care.
• Maintain records of attendance, progress, and outcomes.
• Ensure health and infection-control compliance in aquatic environments.
• Assist in developing group aquatic therapy classes.
