Job summary

St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center-North is seeking a Therapeutic Services Worker to lead a variety of activity groups and support rehabilitation services. The role operates on an evening shift (12:00pm – 8:30pm) with Saturdays and Sundays off, located in St.

Louis, MO. The worker participates in events, documents group activities, and collaborates with staff and volunteers to support clients with mental illness and developmental or physical disabilities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of recreational activities and arts and crafts.
• Ability to communicate with clients and understand needs.
• Ability to plan and lead group activities.
• Ability to maintain records and reports.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Leads activity groups including recreational, physical, and arts groups.
• Assists in planning and organizing facility-wide events.
• Observes client behavior and reports recommendations.
• Escorts clients to/from activity areas.
• Completes required documentation of groups led.
• Attends staff and program planning meetings.
