Job summary

State of Missouri is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at the St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center – South Campus.

The role focuses on social service assessments, treatment planning, and coordination of discharge, with a minimum caseload and engagement in interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include individual and group therapy, case management, risk assessments, and collaboration with guardians and families.

Qualifications

• MSW, LMSW, or LCSW license preferred; candidates licensed in Missouri considered.
• Experience with social work ethics and DSM knowledge encouraged.
• Minimum qualifications for Clinical Caseworker and Sr. Clinical Worker listed in MO DMH.
• Willing to consider MSW completion candidates.
• Lack of post-secondary education not sole basis for denial.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive Social Service Assessments (Initial and/or Annual)
• Complete admission and discharge procedures
• Provide individual and/or group treatment and document accordingly
• Write monthly/weekly progress notes
• Offer case management to assigned clients
• Conduct suicide risk and other risk assessments
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team regularly
• Participate in discharge and legal processes as needed
• Disseminate relevant information to vested departments
• Perform other duties as assigned
