Job summary

Broadway In Chicago is seeking enthusiastic, customer-focused ushers to join our Front of House team at downtown venues. This part-time position emphasizes welcoming guests, guiding to seats, scanning tickets, and assisting with accessibility and safety during performances.

Availability is required for evenings, weekends, holidays, and Thanksgiving through year-end. Starting pay is $18.00 per hour, with a benefit of paid time off accrual based on hours worked.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to stand for up to four hours.
• Able to ascend/descend stairs repeatedly.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patrons and direct them to their seats.
• Distribute programs and assist guests as needed.
• Scan tickets and answer basic questions.
• Complete pre-show preparations to ready the theatre.
• Remain at assigned post during performances.
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining safety.
