Job summary

K12northstar is seeking a part-time Theater and Building Rentals Coordinator to support theatre facilities within the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District. You will supervise events and assist with facility maintenance and operations.

The role requires hands-on technical support, ability to lift 50+ pounds, work at heights, and a valid Alaska driver’s license. Orientation and HR approval are required before starting.

Qualifications

• Experience with one or more of: rigging, lighting, scenic construction, sound or multimedia.
• Familiarity with technical aspects of theatrical productions.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds, stand for long periods, and work at heights over 40 feet.
• Requires reliable transportation and a current Alaska driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide general technical and event supervision at theatre facilities within the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District.
• Assist with maintenance, adaptation, and renovation of theatrical facilities.
• Assist users with interfacing with facility and theatre equipment while ensuring safety guidelines.
