Qualifications

• BA/BFA in Technical Theatre or related field, or proven experience.
• Flexibility to work nights and weekends with a varying shift schedule.
• Proficiency in executing sound, lighting, and scenery.
• Ability to maintain a clean, safe, organized workspace and equipment.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined areas.
• Energetic, with capacity to work long hours around productions.
• Passion for working with middle school and high school students.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Strong collaboration and adaptability to changing production needs.
• Professionalism and calmness in high-stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Act as the in-house technician for theatre rentals on campus, executing technical functions and facilities needs as required.
• Day-of-rental liaison for theatre rentals, ensuring a safe and positive rental experience.
• Prepare the theatre and spaces for rentals per pre-arranged needs (signage, lobby setup, etc.).
• Assist in processing tech-specific requests and conversations pre-rental.
• Coordinate with the Theatre Coordinator post-rental for appropriate closeout.
• Collaborate with Buildings and Grounds on a safe and successful rental experience.
