Job summary

AERRC in Alaska is seeking a Theater and Building Rentals Coordinator to provide general technical and event supervision at theatre facilities. This is an ongoing recruitment, with interviews as needed.

The position is hourly, less than 15 hours per week, and duties include maintenance, assisting users with interfacing with equipment, and ensuring safety guidelines are followed. Interviews are conducted on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with one or more of the following: rigging, lighting, scenic constructions, sound, multi-media, or other related areas
• Must be familiar with most technical aspects of theatrical productions
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds, be on feet for many hours, and be capable of working at heights over 40 feet.

Responsibilities

• Provide general technical and event supervision at theatre facilities within the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District.
• Assist with maintenance, upkeep, adaptation, and renovation of theatrical facilities.
• Assist users with interfacing with the facility and theatre equipment, ensuring safety guidelines are followed.
