Qualifications

• High School diploma; business college or equivalent training may substitute for experience.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals and procedural documents; write routine reports.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and perform duties with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure facilities meet high standards of construction, repair and maintenance.
• Perform electrician tasks for minor electrical malfunctions.
• Handle plumbing for heating, water and sewer systems; install/repair pipes and fixtures.
• Carry out carpentry work on buildings, floors, roofs, doors and windows.
• Operate tools such as saws, drills, lathes, sanders, routers and other required equipment.
• Maintain and service tools and machinery; keep records and report monthly maintenance.
• Maintain water pumping/storage/distribution systems and waste systems.
• Perform custodial duties and other tasks as assigned by building administrator.
• Adhere to safety standards and district policies; operate under work order system with proper documentation.
• Travel district-wide as needed; communicate effectively with staff and students.
