Job summary

Quintessence Theatre Group seeks a Production and Facilities Manager to supervise main stage and educational productions and manage facilities. You will handle budgeting, scheduling, supply orders, and coordination across departments. Night and weekend work is required during production periods.

This is a full-time, salaried position reporting to the Executive Director. Responsibilities include labor scheduling, contract negotiations, calendar management, and ensuring timely, on-budget

Qualifications

• Experience in production/facility management for theatre, dance, opera, or live events.
• Exemplary communication skills, both oral and written.
• Experience leading and managing groups of artistic and production collaborators.
• Experience with labor relations, specifically with USA, AEA, and SDC contracts and rules.
• Mastery of common office software, especially Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Calendar, and Zoom.
• Proficiency in CAD software (VectorWorks, Visio) and Adobe Creative Cloud applications preferred.
• Ability to refer to architectural and electrical plans, diagrams, local code requirements, equipment manuals, contracts, show riders and other documents in preparing and executing production plans and designs.
• Ability to create and edit CAD drawings of event designs and setups to detail resources and plans for load-in and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Budget management and reporting to the Executive Director for all production activities.
• Schedule labor for all production and shop needs at the Sedgwick Theater.
• Negotiate contract terms for designers and production staff.
• Facilitate production and design meetings, and coordinate communication between artistic and production teams.
• Manage production calendars and ensure timelines are followed.
• Negotiate pricing and procure all technical elements for each production.
• Ensure productions meet standards of artistry and safety.
• Oversee load-ins/outs and care of Sedgwick Theater and lobbies.
• Supervise events and education programs, coordinating with outside renters as needed.
• Coordinate facilities repairs and scheduling with outside contractors.
