Job summary

Marcus Theatres is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead and coach a team of hourly theatre staff in a fast-paced, guest‑driven environment. You’ll supervise, train and develop associates, ensuring excellent guest service and smooth theatre operations across front and back of house functions.

You will work closely with the General Manager, manage staffing, scheduling, and training, and contribute to achieving financial targets while upholding PCI and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Supervisory experience in a high-volume theatre, retail or hospitality environment.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Willing and motivated to learn new skills and software systems.
• Flexible schedule including late evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe and welcoming environment for guests and anticipate needs; provide exceptional service.
• Supervise, motivate, reward and coach associates.
• Operate theatre systems and processes to keep operations smooth.
• Assist with hiring, training and associate development.
• Evaluate KPIs to drive guest satisfaction and results.
• Identify opportunities to increase brand awareness and drive traffic to the theatre.
• Follow directions from theatre and corporate management teams.
