The role covers ledger entries, AP/AR, payroll support, and month-end close, with a focus on accuracy and compliance. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in bookkeeping, an accounting background, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of bookkeeping or finance-related experience
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial statements
• Prepare invoices, monitor payments, and follow up on outstanding balances
• Assist with payroll processing and related filings
• Support month-end and year-end close activities
• Prepare basic financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations
• Maintain organized financial documentation
• Assist with grants, sponsorships, and budgeting projections
• Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation
• Other duties that are broadly in-line with the above responsibilities, as assigned
