Job summary

NORTH COAST REPERTORY THEATRE INC is seeking a precise Bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records and support the Accounting department in compliance with legal requirements. You will record and verify transactions, process payroll and perform some HR functions, requiring strong organization and attention to detail.

The ideal candidate brings experience in bookkeeping, GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with Excel and QuickBooks, ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting for the theater

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Good with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter financial data and transactions
• Verify the accuracy of transactions that have been entered
• Prepare trial balance
• Analyze budgets and other financial information
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Complete required tax forms
