Qualifications

• Master’s/MFA in drama/theater arts or equivalent qualification.
• Bachelor’s or BFA in drama/theater arts with Master’s in literature/communication studies/speech/english; or credential.
• Valid California Community College Credential; or equivalent education/experience.
• Petition for equivalency if degrees do not match exactly.

Responsibilities

• Teaching a part-time schedule of Theatre Arts courses as assigned.
• Using pedagogies and technology across face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats.
• Communicating effectively with students, faculty and staff.
• Adhering to approved curriculum and course outlines of record.
• Evaluating student progress via tests, assignments, and exams; providing syllabi and maintaining records.
• Fulfilling duties of instructors as required by Administrative Regulation 7122.

Education

Master's or MFA in drama/theater arts/performance

Bachelor's or BFA in drama/theater arts/performance and Master's in literature/communication studies/speech/english
