Job summary

CinemaWest in Meridian, Idaho is seeking a Theater Assistant Manager to support the Theater General Manager in daily operations, guest services, and staff supervision. You will help maximize sales, control expenses, and oversee merchandising and inventory.

This hourly, non-exempt role requires evening/weekend availability, a high school diploma, and customer service experience. You will train staff, maintain safety, cash handling, and ensure compliance with liquor laws where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Some experience in customer service is preferred.
• Current Food Handler's Certification, LEAD or other safe beverage service training is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guest service standards and a guest-friendly environment.
• Supervise and train staff; assess performance regularly.
• Maintain merchandising standards and monitor inventory levels.
• Plan daily goals, tasks and assignments for the team.
• Handle cash, compute total and change for purchases.
• Maintain safety and report security issues promptly.
• Comply with liquor laws and Cinema West policies for alcohol service.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
