Job summary

The Kitchen staff at Cinépolis USA will ensure food quality, prepare orders quickly, and produce menu items per established recipes while keeping a clean, safe workspace. Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, you’ll work in a fast-paced theater environment and contribute to a positive guest experience.

We value teamwork, adherence to safety guidelines, and a willingness to train. Prior kitchen experience is preferred; bilingual ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1 year of professional kitchen experience; includes dishwashing, prep/cook, and expediting responsibilities.
• If experience is lacking, position may start as dishwasher or prep cook with potential career growth.
• ServSafe training certification preferred or to be completed via Cinépolis prior to line work.
• Proficiency in kitchen operations and execution.
• Working knowledge of U.S. measurements, weight and volume.
• Ability to follow safety instructions for chemicals/cleaning materials.
• Able to work with supervision and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items accurately and promptly when ordered through the POS system.
• Maintain quality and consistency of dishes according to recipes.
• Cook items in coordination with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
• Remake items as instructed by a supervisor or manager.
• Follow Food Handler Safety guidelines and keep food at safe temperatures.
• Keep the kitchen clean and organized during and after shifts.
• Maintain stock and restock dry goods as needed.
• Use FIFO to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
• Keep supervisors updated on inventory levels.
• Demonstrate professional conduct with coworkers and guests.
