Job summary

The Hanover Theatre & Conservatory is seeking a Facilities Operations Specialist to maintain and support our venues, including the theatre, Conservatory, and event spaces.

The role requires coordinating vendor services, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting emergency preparedness, with occasional after-hours work. Strong knowledge of building systems and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years in facilities maintenance or building operations.
• Experience with HVAC, fire protection, and building automation preferred.
• Experience coordinating external vendors and contractors.
• OSHA 10 or safety training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance and minor repairs.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and logs.
• Monitor building conditions and suggest improvements.
• Keep facilities equipment and storage organized.
• Coordinate inspections and service with licensed vendors.
• Monitor HVAC via building management system and adjust schedules.
• Coordinate HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection services.
• Document service records and coordinate corrective actions.
• Assist with facility setup for events and collaborate with departments.
• Support after-hours emergencies and occasional odd hours.
