Job summary

IRVING INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT seeks a qualified Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction in assigned core subject areas. This exempt, 187-day position reports to the Campus Principal and requires effective classroom management and data-informed planning.

The role emphasizes collaboration with staff, use of technology, professional growth, and adherence to district policies; a Texas teaching certificate and Bachelor's degree are required.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated mastery of the core subject area assigned.
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to instruct students and manage behavior.
  • Fluent with technology use and integrates tech to enhance learning.
  • Collaborates with staff to plan instructional goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lesson plans for the curriculum program assigned.
  • Present content according to TEA guidelines and district policies.
  • Use data to plan instruction and accommodate individual needs (IEP, ESL, 504).
  • Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula as needed.
  • Supervise and plan activities for aides and volunteers in the classroom.
  • Use technology to strengthen the teaching and learning process.
