Job summary

IRVING INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT in Irving, TX is seeking a Teacher to deliver engaging instruction in core subjects and support student growth. This exempt, full-time role reports to the Campus Principal and spans 187 duty days per year under Local funding.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree, a valid Texas teaching certificate for the assigned subject/level, completion of Texas Reading Academy for Elementary, and ESL Supplemental Certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate for subject/level assigned.
• Completion of Texas Reading Academy required for Elementary.
• ESL Supplemental Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans for assigned core subjects.
• Present material according to TEA guidelines and district policies.
• Use data to tailor instruction for diverse learners (gifted, bilingual, ESL, 504).
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Coordinate with staff to plan objectives and instructional methods.
• Plan and supervise teacher aides/volunteers in classroom activities.
• Integrate technology to enhance teaching and learning.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree

Completion of Texas Reading Academy required for Elementary
