Job summary

Irving Independent School District is seeking a qualified Teacher to provide instruction in core subjects and support student growth in a 187-day, exempt role. The teacher will implement district curricula, use data-driven strategies, and collaborate with special education staff to meet diverse learner needs.

The position requires a Texas teaching certificate, a bachelor’s degree, and completion of the Texas Reading Academy for Elementary grade levels.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Valid Texas teaching certificate for subject/level assigned.
Completion of Texas Reading Academy required for Elementary.
ESL Supplemental Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement curriculum plans for the assigned subject area.
Present content per Texas Education Agency guidelines and school policies.
Plan and use data to tailor instruction to student needs (including ELL/504/IEP).
Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula as needed.
Plan and supervise classroom activities and use technology to enhance learning.
Maintain open communication with students and parents; participate in meetings and committees.
