Job summary

Irving Independent School District is seeking a dedicated Teacher to deliver engaging instruction in core subject areas. This exempt role reports to the Campus Principal and supports students across 187 duty days.

The teacher will plan and deliver instruction, assess student progress, and collaborate with colleagues to meet diverse learning needs. A Texas teaching certificate and a Bachelor’s degree are required, with Reading Academy completion preferred for Elementary assignments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and valid Texas teaching certificate for the assigned subject/level.
  • Completion of Texas Reading Academy required for Elementary.
  • ESL supplemental certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement curriculum plans for the assigned program.
  • Present the subject matter according to TEA guidelines and policies.
  • Analyze data to plan instructional strategies and adapt for individual needs (gifted, bilingual/ESL, 504).
  • Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEP guidelines.
  • Cooperate with staff to plan and implement instructional goals and methods.
  • Supervise teacher aides/volunteers in the classroom.
  • Use technology to strengthen teaching and learning processes.
