Hillsborough Community College seeks an audiovisual services technician to support the Visual and Performing Arts department. You will assist in planning meetings, load-in, rehearsals, performances, and strikes while ensuring equipment readiness and safety.

The role requires an Associate's degree and at least one year of related experience, with preference for those with lighting/sound experience and the ability to work afternoons, evenings and weekends. DD214 upload requested.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required and at least one year of related work experience.
• Strong emphasis on equipment operation, maintenance and technical assistance.
• Ability to work afternoons, evenings and weekends with scheduling flexibility.
• Experience with lighting and/or sound is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide audio-visual services, lighting, sound design, set construction for productions.
• Operate technical equipment for productions and events with supervision.
• Inspect equipment, perform maintenance, and manage inventory.
• Train and supervise event stage crew, faculty, staff and students.
• Support budgeting and track expenditures; prepare monthly usage reports.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of performing arts spaces and storage areas.
