Qualifications

  • Education: High-School Diploma or equivalent; associates degree preferred.
  • Experience: 1 year in theatre/AV environment or similar.
  • Knowledge: Lighting, sound, livestreaming and AV equipment.
  • Skills: Clear communication, teamwork and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily tasks including event setup in the Performing Arts Center and campus events.
  • Run lights, sound, camera and livestreaming equipment during events.
  • Assist with data entry and documentation of processes.
  • Deliver pre-scheduled or requested AV equipment.
  • Ensure equipment is functional and properly placed.
  • Provide AV support to classrooms and conference rooms as needed.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot theatre and AV equipment.
  • Assist with installation and servicing of consumables like lamps and amps.
  • Explain technical issues to non-technical staff.
  • Must lift 30–40 pounds and work in varied conditions.
