Job summary
AEP Service Corporation in Lawton, OK, seeks an entry-level TFS Station Engineer to provide engineering and technical support for transmission substations and high-voltage equipment on site.
The role collaborates with P&C, Engineering, Operations, Project Management, and contractors to ensure safe, reliable operation of the transmission system, including installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, modernization, and emergency restoration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
- Fundamentals of Engineering exam encouraged for future PE licensure.
- Willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering and technical support for transmission substation equipment and systems.
- Assist field personnel with troubleshooting, equipment failures, and abnormal conditions.
- Participate in project scoping, design reviews, commissioning, and closeout.
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance programs and reliability improvements.
- Provide technical oversight for commissioning test results and regulatory compliance.
- Assist with planning and execution of outages and emergency restoration.
- Communicate effectively in reports and technical documentation.
- Demonstrate teamwork and coordination with peers and supervisors.
