Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) seeks a Station Engineer within the Transmission System Operations Engineering (TSOE) organization. The role supports compliance with NERC standards and configuration changes to the transmission grid, including commissioning, outages review, and as-built verification.

You will lead engineering activities, guidance to other engineers, and coordinate schedules using CPM/PERT techniques while driving continuous improvements across the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for commissioning and verification of planned and unplanned work on the transmission grid.
• Review outages and configuration changes to ensure system integrity.
• Perform root cause analysis on discrepancies and drive process improvements.
• Lead and coordinate work activities within the engineering group and with field personnel.
• Develop and present reports on technical subjects to management and stakeholders.
