Job summary

Shawsheen Coating & Converting is hiring for full-time Machine Operators on the 1st shift in Andover, MA. This hands-on role involves operating textile winding or slitting equipment, ensuring quality, and completing production paperwork with attention to safety.

Starting pay is $18-$23 per hour, with a 4-day workweek (Tue-Fri, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM) and overtime opportunities. Benefits include health coverage after 60 days, holidays, sick time, and 401(k) eligibility after six months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous machine operator/production experience a plus, but not required.
• Dependable with good attendance.
• Willing to work 10-hour shifts and overtime as needed.
• Able to commute to Andover facility.

Responsibilities

• Load and operate textile winding or slitting machines.
• Monitor equipment and production to meet daily quality and output goals.
• Follow work instructions, production schedules, and operating procedures.
• Complete production paperwork accurately and on time.
• Monitor product quality and report issues or safety concerns.
• Communicate issues to the Shift Supervisor or Plant Manager.
• Follow all safety and environmental requirements and wear PPE.
• Work closely with team to keep production running safely and efficiently.
