Shawsheen Coating & Converting is hiring for full-time Machine Operators on the 1st shift in Andover, MA. This hands-on role involves operating textile winding or slitting equipment, ensuring quality, and completing production paperwork with attention to safety.

Starting pay is $18-$23 per hour, with a 4-day workweek (Tue-Fri, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM) and overtime opportunities. Benefits include health coverage after 60 days, holidays, sick time, and 401(k) eligibility after six months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous machine operator/production experience a plus, but not required.
• Dependable with good attendance.
• Willing to work 10-hour shifts and overtime as needed.
• Able to commute to Andover facility.

Responsabilités

• Load and operate textile winding or slitting machines.
• Monitor equipment and production to meet daily quality and output goals.
• Follow work instructions, production schedules, and operating procedures.
• Complete production paperwork accurately and on time.

is hiring full-time Machine Operators to join our 1st shift team in Andover, MA. This is a hands-on manufacturing opportunity for someone who is dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. You will help operate textile winding or slitting equipment, monitor quality, complete production documentation, and support daily production goals. Previous machine operation, manufacturing, or textile experience is a plus, but not required. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn, follows procedures, communicates well with the team, and takes pride in producing quality work.

What You Will Do

• Load and operate textile winding or slitting machines.
• Monitor equipment and production to help meet daily quality and output goals.
• Follow work instructions, production schedules, and established operating procedures.
• Complete production paperwork accurately and on time.
• Monitor product quality and report any issues or concerns.
• Communicate equipment, production, quality, or safety issues to the Shift Supervisor or Plant Manager.
• Follow all company safety and environmental requirements and procedures.
• Wear required personal protective and hygiene equipment, including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and hair protection.
• Work closely with your team to keep production running safely and efficiently.

Schedule

Regular 1st shift schedule: Tuesday-Friday, 6 A.M. -4:30 P.M, working four 10-hour shifts per week. Overtime is routinely available.

What We're Looking For

• Previous machine operator, production, or manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required.
• Textile winding, coating, slitting, or similar machine experience is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Dependable and able to maintain consistent attendance.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and following established safety procedures.
• Able to work and communicate effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
• Willing and able to work 10-hour shifts and overtime as needed.
• Able to reliably commute to our Andover facility.

Our Andover facility is accessible by public transportation. We are approximately a 3-minute walk from the Ballardvale MBTA station on the Haverhill Line and about 12 minutes by train from downtown Lawrence.
