Job summary

Entergy is seeking a leader to oversee transmission and distribution substation maintenance, promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring reliable operations across a geographic area. The role supervises substation mechanics, relay technicians, utility foremen and contractors, with collaboration across Customer Service Managers, Engineering Supervisors, and Transmission/Distribution leadership.

Qualifications

Technical degree or equivalent work experience.
6–8 years related work experience with 2+ years of supervisory experience.
Experience with substation maintenance and construction practices.
Knowledge of safety procedures, Entergy Safety Manual, OSHA & DOT regulations.
8+ years in transmission, substation, construction, or electrical repair.
Proven leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
Ability to work irregular hours, overtime, and travel 50–75%.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and oversight for substation maintenance program and safety culture.
Direct weather monitoring, outage restoration, and storm response coordination.
Develop, supervise, and direct preventative, diagnostic and corrective maintenance programs.
Ensure adherence to safety, compliance, and regulatory procedures (FERC/NERC/SERC).
Lead organizational health initiatives and development opportunities for staff.
