Job summary

Entergy Louisiana, LLC is seeking a leader to oversee transmission and distribution substation maintenance within the geographic area. You will supervise substation mechanics, relay mechanics, utility foremen and contractors, promoting safe work behaviors and a strong safety culture.

The role requires coordinating weather monitoring, outages, and storm restorations, ensuring compliance with FERC/NERC/SERC, and directing staff training and organizational health initiatives.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of related work experience, with 2+ years supervisory experience.
• Technical degree or equivalent work experience.
• Working knowledge of substation maintenance practices.
• Experience with outage management systems and safety procedures.
• Ability to work irregular hours, overtime, and travel 50–75%.

Responsibilities

• Safety – Engage safety organization and partner to transform field safety efforts. Ensure a safe work environment and safety culture exists for all assigned employees.
• Develop, supervise, and direct the annual substation preventative, diagnostic and corrective maintenance program.
• Monitor weather conditions and outages and direct restorations workers for minor storm events; coordinate out-of-town storm response teams.
• Provide risk analysis and ensure adherence to O&M and SERC work plans.
• Ensure personnel adhere to FERC/NERC/SERC compliance, configuration management, and maintenance procedures.
• Manage safety and compliance training; lead Organizational Health Committees.
