Job summary

MaxIT Consulting -- Max Corporate Group in Jacksonville, TX is seeking a licensed Texas PE to lead municipal utilities and infrastructure projects. The role offers hands-on engineering, project leadership, regulatory coordination, and client engagement with long‑term growth potential.

You will guide water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning through approval, bidding, and construction support, with opportunities to mentor junior staff and shape firm processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Current and active Texas PE license.
• Authority to review, approve, and seal plans in TX.
• 6–8 years of progressive civil engineering experience.
• Experience in water/wastewater, municipal infrastructure, utilities, or related projects.
• Experience with TCEQ permitting, submittals, and plan reviews.
• Experience with water distribution, wells, storage, or treatment facilities.
• Project management across design, permitting, bidding, client coordination, construction support, and delivery.
• AutoCAD or similar design/drafting software proficiency.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout Texas.
• Strong written communication, organization, and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, design, and seal civil engineering plans for water and wastewater infrastructure in Texas.
• Lead engineering design for water systems, wells, storage, treatment facilities, and related infrastructure.
• Prepare, review, and manage TCEQ submittals and permitting documentation.
• Manage projects from planning through bidding, construction support, and closeout.
• Develop bid packages and support public-sector bidding processes.
• Review contractor submissions and provide engineering support during construction.
• Serve as primary engineering contact for municipalities, rural water, and utility clients.
• Participate in client and board meetings, site inspections, and field visits across Texas.
• Coordinate internal design resources and provide technical direction for production.
• Help develop scalable engineering processes as the firm grows.
• Mentor EITs, junior engineers, technicians, and drafting staff.
