Responsibilities

• Evaluates assigned cases by reviewing documentation and researching applicable laws.
• Drafts, files and responds to motions, briefs, or other legal documents.
• Explains legal processes to witnesses and prepares them for court testimony.
• Gathers and presents evidence and exhibits for trials or hearings.
• Represents the State in trials/hearings with opening/closing statements and witness examinations.
• Participates in settlements or plea-bargain negotiations.
• Prepares documents to finalize settlements and ensures filings as required.
