Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited law school.
• No experience required for entry-level assignment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates assigned cases by reviewing documents, researching applicable laws, interviewing witnesses, gathering evidence, and determining actions.
• Drafts, files and responds to motions, briefs and other legal documents for trials/hearings.
• Explains legal processes to witnesses and prepares them for court, keeping clients informed on status.
• Gathers and presents evidence, exhibits and related material for trials/hearings.
• Represents the State/client in trials/hearings, including jury selection and examinations.
• Participates in settlement or plea negotiations.
• Prepares settlement or plea documents and ensures proper filings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
