Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP seeks a Highway Engineering Leader to build and lead a highway design group in Texas, expanding our presence within the state and guiding growth company-wide. The role emphasizes staff mentorship, client relations, and strategic planning to win transportation projects.

You will oversee project delivery, coordinate with TxDOT and local agencies, and travel to project sites and offices as needed, while maintaining high standards of quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required; PE license in Texas preferred
• Master’s Degree or other advanced degree desirable
• Proven ability to lead and grow highway design groups

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a highway design group within the Texas market
• Build and mentor staff, manage client relationships and contribute to business development
• Oversee transportation projects with TxDOT, municipalities, counties, and regional planning organizations
• Develop capabilities and guide growth of the roadway design practice
• Travel to project sites, company offices, and client meetings as needed
• Ensure quality and timely deliverables and supervise project execution
