Job summary

Otis Elevator Company in New York, NY is seeking a highly organized Violations & Testing Coordinator to manage DOB and OATH/ECB violations, coordinating actions with field ops, contractors, and building management.

You will monitor deadlines, process AOCs/COCs through DOB NOW: Safety, and maintain precise records while communicating status to stakeholders. A high school diploma and strong Microsoft Office skills are required.

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to develop expectations with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities.
  • Comfortable in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft-based software.
  • High School degree or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience with Department of Buildings preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Track, investigate, assign, and drive resolution of DOB and OATH/ECB violations and deficiencies.
  • Monitor correction, reinspection, hearing, and filing deadlines to support timely compliance.
  • Coordinate corrective actions with field operations, contractors, consultants, account managers, customers, and building management.
  • Process and support AOCs/COCs, including required documentation and filings through DOB NOW: Safety.
  • Review violations to determine responsibility and associated fines or penalties.
  • Maintain accurate records and status updates in compliance systems.
  • Communicate violation status and required actions to stakeholders.
  • Support improvement of violation-clearing processes and controls.
