Job summary

Otis Elevator is seeking a Manager, New Equipment Field Operations to lead day-to-day management and training of field staff in the Lanham, MD area. The role focuses on safety, cost management, and delivering exceptional service to clients, while coordinating with contractors, owners, and authorities on project design and installation.

The candidate should bring 5+ years of management experience in construction or elevator industries, strong leadership, and solid communication skills.

  • 5+ years of management experience in the construction, elevator industry, or related field.
  • Elevator industry experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree highly desired, with 5 years of experience; or substantial equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of field staff, including training and development.
  • Maintain safety, quality, and cost controls across projects.
  • Coordinate with contractors, owners, architects, and authorities for design, scheduling, and installation.
  • Oversee billing, payments, RFIs, change orders, and contract administration to optimize cash flow and profitability.

The main goal of the role is to provide day-to-day management and training of field staff, including employee selection and development, field training, and safety.This individual will also lead operational efforts, managing costs while ensuring superior customer satisfaction.
