Job summary

Delart is seeking a hands-on engineer to architect and maintain wireless and mobile testbed infrastructure. You will handle hardware provisioning, device configuration, and automation to support development and validation teams.

You will design test environments, deploy servers and VM resources, and help scale the lab with robust BOMs and process documentation. A degree in engineering or sciences plus 1–3 years of lab/IT ops experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field.
• 1–3 years’ experience in a laboratory, test environment, hardware, or IT operations role.
• Proficiency with rack assembly, structured cabling, and handling general laboratory equipment.
• Experience with server or compute node imaging and setup (Linux, Windows, or macOS).
• Working knowledge of mobile OS configuration (Android/iOS), including developer tools (ADB, Xcode).
• Ability to read, maintain, and update Bills of Materials, and handle procurement coordination.
• Experience with managing test accounts and application configurations on mobile devices.
• Strong documentation skills, with attention to reproducibility and detail.

Responsibilities

• Design, source, build, and maintain testbed infrastructure for wireless and mobile app automated testing.
• Plan rack layouts, assemble and upgrade racks, and perform hardware updates for testing and validation needs.
• Configure and provision mobile devices (Android/iOS) including OS installation, network/APN and developer settings, and test account management.
• Diagnose and resolve testbed issues involving connectivity, network performance, device temperature, app stability, and data integrity.
• Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs); research and procure lab hardware; manage inventory for buildouts and replacements.
• Document testbed configuration, laboratory processes, and device data for test engineering teams.
• Deploy, image, and secure servers, NUCs, and compute nodes running Linux, Windows, or macOS.
• Build, manage, and allocate VM resources (VMware, KVM, Hyper‑V) to scale test infrastructure.
• Collaborate with lab operations to distribute test equipment to onsite labs.
• Install, configure, and maintain automation tools and lab monitoring solutions.
• Develop scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate provisioning and configuration.
