POSITION SUMMARY

Operate machinery to make power cable and prepare for shipping to customer.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Review documentation / work orders
2. Set up machinery / processes in Tower, pay off and take up areas (assigned area)
3. Operate machinery in assigned area
4. Clean and reassemble machinery in assigned area
5. Monitor controls, materials, and processes in assigned area
6. Monitor quality of production
7. Load / replace materials in assigned area
8. Change out product and slice product for continued production
9. Repair machinery and prepare components for machines in assigned area
10. Coordinate other repairs with maintenance and engineering
11. Operate power moving devices, change propane cylinders
12. Communicate with supervisor
13. Direct helpers
14. Document processes
15. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS

1. Experience in the wire & cable industry a plus but not required.
2. High school degree required.
3. Read/use precision gauges and tools.
4. Perform shop math.
5. Read/follow written instructions.
6. Use a computer for simple tasks.
7. Strong focus on teamwork.
