We are Hiring!

CNA's needed for Baylor shift- Fri-Sun.

7am-7pm & 7pm-7am

General Description:

Performs resident care activities and related non-professional nursing services under thedirection of the Supervisor to provide quality care of residents.

Essential Duties:

  • Provides individualized attention and nursing care in accordance with residentCare Plan which includes communicating, assistance with grooming, bathing, oralhygiene, turning, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prostheticappliances, transferring, ambulation, and range of motion, as appropriate.
  • Observes and reports changes in resident conditions to Supervisor.
  • Performs tasks assigned by Supervisor including vital signs, residents’ weights,applying non-prescription creams/ointments, and collecting specimens..
  • Escorts residents to dining room, assists with feeding, and verifies mealconsumption.
  • Passes supplements, snacks, and fluids to residents per protocol and schedule andverifies consumption.
  • Maintains clean, neat and organized work environment.
  • Protects the personal belongings of each resident including eyeglasses, dentures,hearing aids, furnishings, jewelry, clothing, memorabilia, etc. Promptly reportsmissing items to Supervisor per protocol.
  • Answers resident call lights promptly and courteously.
  • Assists with orienting residents and their families to the nursing home uponadmission.
  • Escorts residents to appointments, including beauty shop, activities, churchservices, and participates in activities and functions as directed.
  • Completes certified nursing assistant electronic records, documenting careprovided and other information in accordance with Facility policy and procedures.
  • Participates in the training and orientation of new staff by demonstrating apositive, helpful, and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Identifies and appropriately responds to potential and/or actual behavioraloutbursts

Qualifications:
